Duration: 18 Days / 17 Nights
Day 1: Delhi
Upon your arrival at Delhi airport you will be meet and escorted
to a hotel of your choice in Delhi and be welcomed in the
traditional Indian style. After freshening up you embark on
a sight seeing trip of Delhi covering renowned Delhi landmarks
like Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chandui Chowk, Bahai Temple, Laxmi
Narayan Temple and Rajghat.
After a funfilled day of sight seeing, return to the hotel
for a sumptuous dinner. Overnight halt at Delhi.
Day 2: Delhi to Shekhawati
After breakfast, proceed for onward journey to Shekhawati
in Rajasthan covering a distance of 225 kms. Check-in at a
top rate hotel in Shekhawati upon arrival. After some relaxation,
you will be accompanied by a tour guide for a sightseeing
tour of Shekhawati covering renowned landmarks like Modi and
Tiber Wala Haveli, Khetri Mahal, Sati Chowk, Rani Satiji Temple,
Bihariji Temple etc. to name just a few of the tourist sites
that you will be visiting.
Return back to hotel for dinner and overnight halt.
Day 3: Shekhawati to Bikaner
After breakfast, drive to Bikaner from Shekhawati covering
a distance of approximately 200 kms. Upon arrival at Bikaner,
Check-in at a top grade hotel and freshen up. Late in the
afternoon, go on a sight seeing trip around Bikaner covering
places like the Camel Breeding Farm, Junagarh Fort, Karni
Mata Temple, Ganga Golden Jubilee Temple to name just a few
Bikaner landmarks that will be covered. Adequate opportunities
will be provided for shopping at Bikaner.
Return back to the hotel after sight seeing for dinner and
overnight halt.
Day 4: Bikaner to Jaisalmer
After breakfast proceed to the enchanting desert tour of Jaisalmer
covering a distance of 335 kms. After a strenuous journey,
you arrive at Jaisalmer and check-in at a classy heritage
hotel. Freshen yourself up and laze around in your room or
at the lobby.
Dinner is a sumptous affair which is distinctly Rajasthani.
Overnight halt at Jaisalmer.
Day 5: Jaisalmer
The fifth day of the tour is entirely devoted to sightseeing
in Jaisalmer covering landmarks like the impregnable Jaisalmer
Fort, the temples of Rikhabdeoji and Sambhavnathji, Nathmalji
Ki Haveli, Salim Singh Ki Haveli and Patwon Ki Haveli. Time
permitting, a visit to the enchanting Sam Sandunes can also
be undertaken.
After an eventful day of sightseeing, return back to the hotel
for dinner and overnight halt at Jaisalmer.
Day 6: Jaisalmer to Khuri sand dunes
After breakfast you proceed to your next destination - Khuri
covering a distance of just 45 kms. Khuri is renowned for
its breathtaking sand dunes and your tour guide will make
all the logistical arrangements for your camel safari as well
as your tented accommodation amidst the fascinating sand and
dunes.
After an exciting camel safari in the sandy desert return
to your tented camp for dinner under a starlit sky in the
backdrop of enchanting Rajasthani folk music and dance performed
by established folk artists. Overnight halt at the camp.
Day 7: Khuri to Jodhpur
After breakfast proceed to Jodhpur covering a distance of
290 kms. The journey is a bit taxing but worthwhile in every
respect as Jodhpur unveils its charm like a veil slipping
from the face of a beautiful woman.
After arrival at Jodhpur, check-in at a top grade hotel. You
can relax the entire day as there are no sight seeing trips
today since you will already be feeling tired because of the
arduous journey from Khuri to Jodhpur.
Overnight halt at Jodhpur.
Day 8: Jodhpur
After breakfast, embark on a sight seeing trip of Jodhpur
covering the historic Meherangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada as the
impressive Umaid Bhawan Palace.
After an exciting day of sight seeing, return back to the
hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 9: Jodhpur to Ranakpur
After breakfast you proceed to your next destination Ranakpur
covering a distance of 180 kms. Upon arrival at Ranakpur,
check-in at a top rate hotel. Freshen up and embark on a sight
seeing trip of tempels and havelis of Ranakpur.
After a captivating sight seeing experience of Ranakpur, return
to the hotel for dinner and overnight halt.
Day 10: Ranakpur to Udaipur
Post breakfast, depart for Udaipur, your next port of call
covering a distance of 90 kms. Upon arrival at Udaipur, check-in
at a star hotel. The entire day is free for you. Overnight
halt at Udaipur.
Day 11: Udaipur
After breakfast you will be escorted by your tour guide on
a sight seeing spree of Udaipur. Udaipur is often referred
to as the city of lakes and a visit to Lake Pichola and Fatch
Sagar is a must. Also on the agenda are a visit to the magnificent
city palace, the Zenana Mahal, Sahelion Ki Bari, Jag Mandir
and museums and art galleries.
After an absorbing day out in Udaipur, return back to the
hotel for dinner and overnight halt.
Day 12: Udaipur to Pushkar
Wake up in the morning and post breakfast hit the trail to
enchanting Pushkar covering 290 kms. Upon arrival at Pushkar,
check-in at a luxurious hotel. The rest of the day is free
for you. Overnight at Pushkar.
Day 13: Pushkar
After breakfast discover the mystical appeal of Pushkar's
many temples and ghats including of course the temple of Lord
Brahma, the creator of the universe. Pushkar has numerous
lakes and it is believed that taking bath in the holy Lake
Pushkar frees oneself of all sins committed.
Return back to the hotel at the end of the day, have a sumptuous
dinner and overnight halt at Pushkar.
Day 14: Pushkar to Jaipur
After early morning breakfast proceed for onward journey to
Jaipur covering a distance of 145 kms. Upon arrival at Jaipur,
your tour guide assists you to check-in at a hotel of your
choice. You are provided with ample time to relax and in the
evening you can stroll around Jaipur's vibrant bazaars. Overnight
halt at Jaipur.
Day 15: Jaipur to Ranthambore
Today, after an early morning breakfast you will be proceeding
to the world famous Ranthambore National Park covering a distance
of 170 kms. Upon arrial at Sawai Madhopor which is where Ranthambore
National Park is located, you check-in at the Forest Lodge.
After adequate rest and relaxation, set out on a jungle safari
accompanied by a knowledgeable guide. By evening return back
to the Forest Lodge for dinner and overnight halt.
Day 16: Ranthambore to Agra
After a wholesome breakfast at the Forest Lodge, you should
be all pepped up as you will be proceeding to Agra and have
a date with one of the wonders of the world. The Taj Mahal
covering a distance of approximately 280 kms.
After a long drive you arrive at Agra and check-in at a hotel
of your choice. No other activities are lined up for today
and you can relax the whole day. Overnight halt at Agra.
Day 17: Agra
After breakfast you embark on a sight-seeing trip of Agra
city. Today you will reach the crescendo and your holiday
to India will culminate to perfection with your much awaited
trip to the Taj Mahal. Apart from Taj Mahal visits to other
Agra land marks like the Agra Fort, Dewan-I-Aam, Dewan-I-Khas,
Itmad-ud-Daulah's Tomb, Ram Bag to name just a few of the
tourist attractions to be covered at Agra.
After a scintillating day of sight seeing, return back to
hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 18: Agra to Delhi
This is your concluding day of your "Rajasthan with Taj Mahal
Tour" and post breakfast you embark for the one last
time on board for your ultimate destination - Delhi covering
a distance of 225 kms. You have the option of checking-in
at a hotel for a few hours for freshening up and than driving
to the airport to catch the flight back home.
