The Samode Haveli was built by Rawal Sheo Singhji around 150 years ago. A prime minister in the court of Jaipur, he belonged to the royal family of Samode, which in turn traced a familial connection to legendary king Prithviraj Singhji.

As we delve into the history of the Samode Haveli, we will learn that this mansion was originally built as a manor house for the royal family of Samode. Designed in an elegant manner, Samode Haveli is indeed an architectural marvel. Another interesting fact about this grand mansion is that it was built in a north-facing manner, away from the harsh Rajasthan sun.

Other features of the Samode Haveli hotel are a delightfully painted dining room and an airy verandah. One will also notice an impressive elephant ramp, right at the entrance of the Samode Haveli. History explains that this ramp was constructed in the 1940's for the marriage of the late Rawal Sahib's aunt.
