Royal Camp

It was in the 17th century that the concept of Royal Camps came up. The Mughal Emperor, Jehengir used to set up royal camp sites when coming back from battlefields. After him this tradition was followed by the kings who came later on to go for hunting or gatherings.

Located near the mela ground the Royal Camp is quite near to the city Pushkar and one can reach there on foot, camel or car.

Accommodation
Accommodation of Royal Camp are beautifully done up tents which are customized to cater to the needs of the guests. The Royal Camp has hundred elegantly furnished tents. The tents have an attached bathroom and private verandah. Round the clock 'tent' service, twenty-four hour security, power supply, fans and hot air blowers all make the stay quite comfortable.

The tents have been crafted using traditional skills and crafts of Marwar. Furniture, linen, carpets-all add a touch of Rajasthani Royalty to the stay.

Dining
The Royal camp has a huge dining tent which is very beautifully decorated. The dining 'tent' has beautiful local fabric paneled walls and from there one gets the view of the camp site. Here in the dining 'tent' delectable Indian, Continental and Rajasthani dishes are served. The food is prepared by their very own in-house chef.
