The Heritage on wheels is one of the luxury Trains of Rajasthan like the famous Palace on Wheels, which has been recently introduced. it comprises of 14 coaches including one restaurant and a bar lounge. The train is fully air-conditioned. However, there is no facility of attached toilets in the cabin. In every coach there are two toilets shared by four cabins occupants.
It has fourteen saloons with heritage setting decor, two Restaurants called the Maharaja and Maharani, a well Stocked Bar cum Lounge, a kitchen and service cars.
Each saloon has a capacity to have room for eight guests in four bedrooms with two bathrooms on sharing basis.
There is well-experienced staff in traditional uniform on board ready to serve with a variety of cuisine including Rajasthani cuisine.
The price of the train tariff includes 3 nights accommodation, all meals on the train, conducted sightseeing tours in deluxe coaches, entrance fees for monuments and palaces and cultural entertainment.
Some things are not included in it like Liquor, laundry and other items.
The entire Rajasthan has been an enthusiasm to be explored by the tourists. Bikaner and Shekhawati, are the lesser explored regions and hence have been chosen for the Heritage on Wheels.

The Shekhawati region is known for its painted havelis. This region has been recognised as the "open art gallery of Rajasthan" having the largest concentration of wall paintings in the world. Most of the buildings of the Shekhawati region were constructed during 18th century and the early 20th century. During the British occupation, traders adapted this style for their new buildings. The havelis are noted for their wall paintings depicting mythological and historical themes. The frescos include images of gods, goddesses, animals, life history of Lords Rama and Krishna, abundantly painted on the havelis in this region.
